Hico's Hero can always use more help in fulfilling our mission to honor this nation's Fallen Heroes and bring comfort to their mothers amidst the pain of their loss. This includes but is certainly not limited to the suggestions listed below. If you'd like more information on how to help, or if you have special skills or resources you'd like to contribute, please send us a message via our Contact Us page.

Visit us in person and help make the pins. Every pin that is sent out is unique, assembled by hand by our volunteers. We meet at the home of Robin Hefner every Thursday from 6 pm to 8 pm, at 112 Hemphill Street, Hico, TX. No special skills are required -- many of our volunteers have never done anything else like this before, but they catch on quickly. We will show you everything and help you along the way. There is no ongoing committment - some of our volunteers come virtually every week, others only occasionally. Come when you can - any help is appreciated.

Help spread the word about Hico's Hero! You can let other people know about our web site, and "Like" the Hico's Hero page on Facebook. If you know any Gold Star families who have lost loved ones in Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Iraqi Freedom, or Operation New Dawn please especially let them know about us.

Assist in internet research. Hico's Hero continually researches our Fallen Heroes for the pins. Even if you live nowhere near the small town of Hico, Texas, you could help in this area as long as you have an internet connection and a knack for searching the web. For more information on how to help and the type of research needed, please inquire via our Contact Us page.

Pray. For Hico's Hero; for the Gold Star Moms we're reaching out to; for all who have lost friends or family in service of our nation; for those who have served and those who continue to serve; for those still waiting for someone to come back home; for the day when the list of our Fallen Heroes stops growing.
